The holiday season often brings a mixture of emotions. It is a time full of joy, celebration, and togetherness, but for many women, it can also usher in stress, exhaustion, and a sense of being pulled in every direction.
With long to-do lists, extra events, gift shopping, and financial pressures, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and lose sight of what truly matters. In attempt to "fit it all in," our faith and wellness can slip quietly to the wayside.
But, that doesn't have to be the case. We can experience the holidays with peace, freedom, and joy by choosing to remain steadfast in habits that support our faith and overall well-being.
In this post, I'm sharing two valuable resources designed to support you through the season: the free 2025 Holiday Faith & Wellness Guide and the December Movement Calendar (pay what you can, $5 minimum; free for studio members). These tools offer simple, grace-filled strategies to help you remain steady in your faith and wellness while still enjoying the special moments of the holidays.
Understanding the Challenges of the Holiday Season
Before we talk about solutions, it’s helpful to acknowledge the very real challenges that tend to arise this time of year:
Packed schedules filled with events and commitments
Pressure to find the “perfect” gifts, contributing to financial strain
Temptations to overindulge in food and drink
Emotional ups and downs from family dynamics or loneliness
Neglect of life-giving routines like prayer, exercise, and rest
These pressures can leave us feeling spiritually disconnected, physically drained, and mentally overwhelmed. Recognizing these stressors is the first step toward navigating them with intention and grace.
Replacing Derailment with Steadfastness
I often hear women talk about their frustration with getting "off-track" during the holidays and the consequent burden of getting "back on-track" in the new year. To help women avoid this discouraging cycle, I've created two simple, Christ-centered resources that I'm excited to share with you:
